How to prevent jaundice in newborns

Neonatal jaundice is divided into physiological jaundice and pathological jaundice, physiological jaundice has no preventive methods, while pathological jaundice is mainly to remove the triggering causes.
1. Physiological jaundice: it is a phenomenon that occurs after the birth of many newborns, mainly due to the short life span of newborns’ red blood cells, after the death of red blood cells, the temporary high level of bilirubin will gradually return to normal on its own, and it doesn’t need any special treatment and can’t be prevented.
2. Pathological jaundice: mostly seen in neonatal hemolytic disease, congenital biliary atresia, etc. There is no good way to prevent it, but detailed examination should be taken in time after birth to confirm the diagnosis and early treatment.
After the birth of the newborn, we should pay attention to observation, if there is obvious yellowing of the skin and sclera and other phenomena, we should consult the doctor in time.
