Why we are thankful for teeth

It’s easy to take for granted the things we use on a daily basis. When was the last time you thought about your teeth? Whether you thought about it or not, your teeth have always served you well, even for some things you never realized. There is a Thanksgiving Day in the West, and I think it’s time to give thanks for our teeth on our Love Your Teeth Day as well. Here are some reasons to be thankful, see how many you know? 1. Your teeth help you eat chicken legs Of course, you eat much more than chicken legs! Your teeth tear apart and grind up everything you eat every day, allowing your gut to better digest that food. Dental offices are often filled with toothless old men and women who come in for veneers, and they are the ones who know best the importance of the chewing function of their teeth. There are often elderly people who are happy to tell the doctor after getting their teeth fixed: they can go home today and have a good meal! Therefore, people who still have good teeth should think about how painful the days without teeth are, so that they can appreciate their teeth. 2, teeth make smile more beautiful smile is the best business card of the human face, if no teeth, you may be embarrassed to show your business card more people. Every year, there are countless men, women and children spend a lot of money to make their teeth whiter, brighter and more beautiful, which is the pursuit of quality of life. People who know how to love their teeth are obviously people who know how to pursue beauty. 3, teeth to help speak No teeth or even just a few teeth missing people, speaking will be “full of wind”, that is because without the assistance of teeth, many syllables will not be pronounced, or completely out of tune. When your teeth are still alive, you can pronounce z, c, s without any obstacles, but when you lose all your teeth, you will know that you simply can’t speak without teeth. The role of teeth on the speech aid, may be more important than you think. 4, teeth affect the face Let’s do a “thought experiment”: drawing a 100-year-old head of a toothless man, how would you draw? Your mind may immediately come up with a lip, cheek all deflated face, and the face is obviously very short. This is because the teeth support the lips and cheeks, just like the poles in a tent, and can maintain the height of the human face, making it appear longer. 5, teeth make the jawbone stronger The jawbone is wrapped around the roots of the teeth, how can teeth make the jawbone stronger? Teeth do keep the jawbone thick and strong enough to hold the roots better. Without teeth, the jawbone will begin to shrink and resorb due to lack of use, which can easily lead to fractures. Some people who have been missing teeth for too long and refuse to have them placed, end up trying to get them placed, only to find that they can’t hold them because there isn’t enough jawbone left to support the dentures. Of course, for people in many different professions, teeth have a variety of functions that deserve our appreciation and gratitude. Don’t wait until you lose your teeth to tell them “I love you” with a mouth full of leaks!
