How often is dialysis done

Dialysis treatment is mainly for patients with uremia. The frequency of dialysis is related to the patient’s primary disease, residual kidney function, severity of clinical symptoms and the patient’s dialysis status, generally 2-3 times a week. Uremic patients are unable to excrete toxins and water from their bodies, which can lead to accumulation of toxins and water in the body, resulting in persistent damage to the organs and the need for dialysis treatment to excrete toxins and water. The frequency of dialysis for patients is related to a variety of factors, and generally patients can have 2-3 dialysis sessions a week. If the patient adds too much toxins and water too fast in the interdialysis period, has less residual kidney function, has more complications, and has more pronounced clinical symptoms, the dialysis frequency may increase, or even need 1 time a day. Patients with kidney disease are recommended to actively undergo treatment, especially TCM treatment, to avoid progression to uremia, which increases the financial burden and physical burden of patients.
