How to check for numbness in the thighs

Numbness of the thighs may be caused by cerebrovascular disease, peripheral neuropathy, somatization disorder, it is recommended to improve the cranial CT or MRI, electromyography, psychological function measurement and related examinations.
1. If the numbness is on one side of the limbs, and the onset of the disease is sudden, and there is a history of hypertension and diabetes mellitus, cerebrovascular disease may be more likely, and it is recommended to improve the cranial CT, cranial MRI and other tests to clarify the diagnosis.
2. If the numbness of bilateral thighs, the disease duration is long, and the onset of the disease is slow, then consider the possibility of peripheral neuropathy or somatization disorder. Electromyography can be perfected. If the numbness of limbs occurs with emotional changes, after excluding organic diseases, consider somatization disorder, and can improve the psychological function measurement to clarify the diagnosis.
If numbness occurs in the limbs, it is recommended to consult the neurology clinic as soon as possible.
