Symptoms of neurogenic eczema

What is known clinically as neurological eczema is actually called neurodermatitis, which is currently considered to be a chronic inflammatory skin reaction that is strongly related to neuropsychiatric factors. In the early stages, the main clinical feature is a localized papular rash. Some patients may still have normal skin locally, but may experience abnormal and intense itching, sometimes suddenly, and sometimes at night, but the cause may be directly related to significant emotional stress. Neurodermatitis can be characterized by recurrent episodes in which the patient repeatedly scratches, causing significant localized skin thickening and mossy changes, which can also be accompanied by localized flaking.
