You can have sexual intercourse after the third month of pregnancy. However, you cannot have sex during the last 3 months of pregnancy. In other words, you can only have normal sexual intercourse in the middle 4 months of pregnancy, before the pregnancy enters 13-28 weeks. Some women who have a history of abnormal bleeding in the vagina, a history of pre-eclampsia, or a history of previous abnormal deliveries during the early stages of pregnancy should take care to avoid sexual stimulation after pregnancy. If the placenta is found to be low during ultrasound examination during pregnancy, abnormal bleeding may be caused during sexual intercourse, resulting in clinical symptoms. In this case, sexual intercourse should be absolutely forbidden during the whole pregnancy period.
