Can tacrolimus treat nephrotic syndrome?

Tacrolimus can be used to treat nephrotic syndrome. Tacrolimus belongs to the class of calcium-modulated phosphatase inhibitors and can be used for the treatment of nephrotic syndrome, mainly used for nephrotic syndrome caused by membranous nephropathy and hormone-resistant nephrotic syndrome in children. Its adverse reactions include infections; blood and lymphatic system abnormalities such as anemia, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, and coagulation factor abnormalities; endocrine abnormalities; metabolic abnormalities such as hyperglycemia and hyperkalemia; neurological abnormalities such as tremor and headache; cardiac abnormalities such as tachycardia; and hypertension. Tacrolimus is contraindicated in patients who are allergic to this drug or other macrolides, and is contraindicated in pregnancy. Tacrolimus needs to be used in a standardized way under the guidance of a doctor, do not use the drug privately, so as not to cause adverse effects. It is recommended that patients with nephrotic syndrome go to a regular hospital in time and follow the doctor’s instructions.
