Saxagliptin tablets are administered as 5mg once daily, with dosage time unaffected by meals. Saxagliptin tablets are hypoglycemic agents for type 2 diabetes mellitus, which can be used to improve blood glucose with monotherapy based on diet and exercise, or in combination with metformin hydrochloride. The general recommended dose of this product is 5mg once daily, but for patients with moderate to severe renal insufficiency or end-stage renal disease requiring hemodialysis, the dose should be adjusted to 2.5mg. Adverse reactions include rapid-onset allergic reactions, exfoliative skin lesions, severe and disabling arthralgia, etc. It is contraindicated in persons with a history of severe hypersensitivity reactions to the product.
