Fetal intestinal echogenicity may be caused by the accumulation of meconium or amniotic fluid, or due to intestinal malformation, intestinal inflammation and other diseases, and the cause should be identified in time.
1. Physiological phenomenon: Usually after birth, the fetus will have meconium and amniotic fluid in the intestinal tract, which cannot be metabolized within a short period of time, thus occupying part of the intestinal tract volume and leading to the enhancement of fetal intestinal echogenicity. This is a normal physiological phenomenon, and it will return to normal after metabolizing the substances.
2. Pathological factors:
(1) Intestinal malformation: the growth of intestinal malformation may make the intestinal wall abnormally proliferate and thicken, and the thickening of the intestinal wall will occupy the intestinal volume, which will lead to the enhancement of fetal intestinal echogenicity.
(2) Intestinal inflammation: If the pregnancy is accompanied by intrauterine inflammation, it may lead to fetal intestinal inflammation. Inflammatory factors stimulate the exudation of large amounts of inflammatory secretions, and when the secretions accumulate in the intestines, it may cause fetal intestinal echogenicity enhancement.
Fetal intestinal echogenicity is caused by many reasons, it is recommended that the patient consult a doctor in time to clarify the cause of the disease and then follow the doctor’s instructions to avoid delaying the condition.
