Myopia in children’s eyes may be pseudomyopia or true myopia, which requires different treatments such as developing good eye habits and prescription lenses for correction.
1. Pseudomyopia: Pseudomyopia, also known as myopia, is a kind of temporary myopia caused by excessive eye use, ciliary muscle spasm and inability to relax. Pseudomyopia patients do not have any organic lesions, this condition is temporarily not suitable for glasses, need to correct eye habits, avoid eye fatigue, more outdoor sports.
2. Genuine myopia: Genuine myopia is a condition in which the patient may have abnormal growth of the eye axis, myopic lesions in the fundus, and other organic changes, and rest or pupil dilation can not restore visual acuity. Children need to wear glasses to correct myopia and improve vision. Children should also improve their eye habits to avoid myopia deepening.
