What’s wrong with cervical spondylosis?

Cervical spondylosis belongs to the degenerative changes of cervical intervertebral discs, which irritate or compress the nerve roots, spinal cord and blood vessels in the neck, causing a series of uncomfortable symptoms. Cervical spondylosis is characterized by neck and back pain, upper limb weakness, lower limb weakness, numbness of fingers, difficulty in walking, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, etc., and shoulder pain may radiate to the limbs. According to the different parts of the lesion stimulation can be divided into cervical cervical spondylosis, nerve root cervical spondylosis, spinal cord cervical spondylosis, vertebral artery cervical spondylosis and mixed cervical spondylosis. The main causes of cervical spondylosis are degenerative changes of the cervical spine, developmental cervical spinal stenosis, and chronic strain injury. The treatments for cervical spondylosis are divided into two categories: surgical and non-surgical, and most patients can apply non-surgical methods to relieve their pain. If the condition is serious and has affected normal work and life, surgical treatment can be considered, such as anterior disc removal and internal fixation and posterior plate decompression. When cervical spondylosis occurs and is accompanied by obvious discomfort symptoms, it is recommended to consult a doctor in time to identify the cause of the disease and give targeted treatment under the guidance of the doctor, so as to avoid delaying the condition.
