Inflammatory papular acne refers to pimple-type acne, and treatments include topical medication, oral medication, and physical therapy.
1. Topical medication: Benzoyl peroxide gel can be used topically to kill Propionibacterium acnes; topical retinoids, such as retinoic acid ointment, adapalene gel, etc., to exfoliate and unclog pores, which can help to eliminate acne; if the inflammation is more severe, topical antibiotics, such as mupirocin ointment, fusidate cream, etc., can also be used to treat acne.
2. Oral medication: If the condition is serious and the effect of external medication is not good, oral antibiotic treatment can be used, such as minocycline, doxycycline, etc. (prohibited for those who are allergic to tetracycline); it can also be combined with isotretinoin to eliminate acne, but this product has teratogenic side effects, and is prohibited for women in the early stages of pregnancy and childbearing age.
3. Physical therapy: For mild to moderate acne, physical therapy such as red and blue light irradiation can be used to help eliminate acne.
It is recommended that after diagnosis, patients should use medication under the guidance of professional physicians, and should not blindly use medication on their own, so as to avoid adverse reactions and delay the condition.
