Post-operative meniscus rehabilitation

  1. Active movement of the ankle and hip joints (8 times/1 day) was performed within 24 hours after surgery, while the knee joint remained stationary; however, “static contraction training” of the quadriceps muscle of the operated leg (20 times/3 sets/day) could be performed. 2. 24 hours after surgery, you can walk on the ground with crutches (30 minutes/day), and change the quadriceps training from “static contraction training” to “straight leg raising training”. (50 times → 35 times → 25 times → 10 times for 1 group, 3 groups/day). 3. After 24 hours and up to 48 hours after surgery, the knee joint “micro-movement training” of the operated leg can be carried out, with the degree of movement at 0-15-30 degrees, and after 48 hours and up to 72 hours, the degree of movement at 30-60-90 degrees. (10 micro-movements per angle, pain-free); continue quadriceps training (50-100 times 3 sets/day). 4. 72 hours after surgery, change the medication from “cotton leg” to “elastic bandage”, walk on the ground with the crutches (1-3 hours/day), and continue quadriceps training (100-300 times 3 groups/day). 5.The stitches should be removed 1 week after surgery and the knee mobility should reach about 120-130 degrees. 6.Train at home for 2 weeks, including two aspects of training: (mobility training 0-45-90-120-135 degrees; muscle strength training: static squat [45-80 degrees] training (2-3 minutes/time, 3 sets); straight leg raise training (300-500 times 3 sets/day); biceps femoris training [prone position: weighted knee bending 300 times 2 sets/day]; triceps calf training (heel lift) (50-100 times 2 sets/day). 7. Outpatient review 3 weeks after surgery. 2 weeks of “specialized walking training” can be carried out, fast walking 800 meters, the time is about 7-8 minutes. Every other day, 2 sets each time. 8.After 6 weeks after surgery, you can start 3 weeks of “jogging training”, about 1000 meters, 2 times a week, 2 sets each time. 9.After 9 weeks after surgery, you can do more intense exercise and basically resume normal activities.
