1. Varicose veins of the lower limbs: avoid standing and walking for a long time after the disease, wear elastic stockings to improve the symptoms of varicose veins, and take venous active medicines including flavonoids and fibrinolytic medicines on a daily basis. When the vein ruptures and bleeds, local compression bandage is needed, lift the affected limb to stop the bleeding with suture if necessary, and then perform surgical treatment.
2. Gastroesophageal varices: daily medication can be taken to treat cirrhosis, taking beta-blockers such as propranolol to reduce portal hypertension, taking rabeprazole to inhibit gastric acid to reduce the chance of venous bleeding. Those who bleed when ruptured can be treated with growth inhibitors in addition to blood transfusion, and severe cases need surgery.
