It is entirely possible to cure cancer in its early stage. Early stage cancer can be considered to apply surgical radical treatment as the main option, and some postoperative treatments can be combined with adjuvant chemotherapy to control distant metastases. In addition, if there is lymph node metastasis, local radiotherapy can also be considered, but generally lymph nodes without obvious metastasis in early stage can be temporarily excluded from radiotherapy. Of course, regular review is needed later on, and if the disease progresses again, it also depends on the situation to see if another surgery for radical treatment or local radiotherapy, combined with chemotherapy, can control the disease. Generally, if there is no recurrence for more than five years, it can be said to be clinically cured, that is, cured. However, it cannot be said that all early stage cancers can be cured, and it can only be seen while treating, because each person’s condition is different and the follow-up treatment is also different. Early stage cancer may also have early recurrence and metastasis, such as small cell lung cancer, which is difficult to be cured, while most other types are curable.
