Can high aminotransferases cause yellow urine

High aminotransferases do not usually cause yellow urine; high aminotransferases are usually indicative of liver impairment, and elevated blood bilirubin usually causes yellow urine. The general liver function test results include tests for both alanine aminotransferase and glutamine aminotransferase, as well as total bilirubin and conjugated bilirubin. Elevated aminotransferases, which are found primarily in the cells of the liver, suggest liver cell damage, but do not cause a change in the color of the urine as a result of elevated aminotransferases. There are various causes of yellow urine, both physiologic and pathologic. One cause associated with liver function tests is yellow urine caused by elevated bilirubin. When bilirubin is elevated in the blood, it can be excreted through the urine, causing an elevated level of bilirubin in the urine, leading to the appearance of yellow urine. Therefore, there is no necessary connection between elevated transaminases and yellow urine.
