A sample is taken at the time of the colonoscopy when a problem is detected. If the patient has obvious organic lesions such as inflammation, polyps, or ulcers in the intestines, a sample biopsy is usually taken at the time of the examination. Enteroscopy can only confirm that the patient has an intestinal lesion, but whether this lesion is benign or malignant, and whether there are heterogeneous cells, etc., cannot be clarified under enteroscopy simply by the naked eye. Therefore, biopsy is needed to further clarify the nature of the lesion tissue, in order to find out whether there is a possibility of malignancy at an early stage and to provide early symptomatic treatment. If the results of colonoscopy are abnormal, it is recommended to go to a regular hospital in time to clarify the cause of the disease, and then carry out targeted treatment or therapy under the guidance of the doctor.
