The following ointments are mainly used to relieve eczema in newborns: first, apply baby moisturizer because it has a good moisturizing effect, and moisturizing is the basic treatment for newborn eczema, and only adequate moisturizing can protect the integrity of the newborn’s skin, thus helping to control eczema in newborns as soon as possible. Secondly, newborns can be given hormone-free creams that are mainly composed of immunosuppressive agents, such as tacrolimus ointment that can be applied to newborns. Finally, if the newborn’s eczema is particularly severe and the inflammatory exudate is very obvious, glucocorticoid ointment should be applied for treatment, such as hydrocortisone butyrate ointment or mometasone furoate ointment, both of which are weak hormone ointments and have relatively little stimulation for the newborn.
