1.Stomach cancer incidence status Stomach cancer has been a common disease that seriously threatens people’s health in China, ranking second in incidence rate and first in mortality rate among malignant tumors. According to the latest statistics, the number of people suffering from stomach cancer in China accounts for more than 42% of the total number of people suffering from the disease worldwide. 2.The harm of gastric cancer to the body Cancer comes from the mutation of normal human cells, which is out of the normal control of human body and grows indefinitely. However, the infinite growth of cancer cells will gradually affect the function of the corresponding organs, and the body will only feel discomfort when the corresponding organs become dysfunctional, and the body will die when the corresponding organs fail to function. Therefore, people’s reaction to cancer is very slow, and most of the cancers found clinically are in the progressive or late stages. In China, there are many cases of stomach cancer, and most of them are in the progressive or late stage. 3.Factors affecting the survival time of cancer patients Four factors, including malignancy, progression, treatment effect and immunity of the body, are the main factors affecting the survival time of gastric cancer patients. Malignancy degree cannot be changed, progression degree refers to the early or late stage of gastric cancer, which is fixed when gastric cancer is detected, and the immunity of the body can hardly be changed fundamentally. Therefore, treatment effect is the only variable factor among the four major factors. 4. Reasons why some advanced gastric cancers cannot be removed surgically Some gastric cancers cannot be removed surgically because of local or distant metastasis. If the local metastasis is serious, it will infiltrate or encircle the important organs or blood vessels of important organs, so if the surgery is forced to remove it, it will affect the function of the corresponding important organs or even directly affect the life, so it cannot be removed. For example, severe infiltration of the pancreas, encircling the common hepatic artery, etc. Sometimes, distant metastases are also inoperable, such as extensive peritoneal seeding and severe liver metastases. At this time, it is not very meaningful to remove gastric tumor for treatment and improve human life. 5.The effect of neoadjuvant chemotherapy combined with arteriovenous administration on the treatment of advanced gastric cancer Neoadjuvant chemotherapy is a treatment method for progressive or advanced gastric cancer, the main purpose of chemotherapy before surgery is to shrink the unresectable gastric cancer and create conditions for surgery to remove gastric cancer. It is also suitable for certain cancers that can be resected but may have residual gastric cancer. Currently, most of the neoadjuvant chemotherapy used in clinical practice follows the usual postoperative chemotherapy method and is administered intravenously, which has limited efficiency. The neoadjuvant chemotherapy of combined arterial and venous administration takes advantage of the sound tumor vascularity before surgery and adopts different routes of arterial and venous administration according to the action characteristics of chemotherapeutic drugs, so that the pharmacological effects of chemotherapeutic drugs can be fully utilized and the efficiency is obviously improved. Among the more than 100 patients we have treated, the efficiency exceeds 80%, and 9 of them have been treated from unresectable to resectable. It is a neoadjuvant chemotherapy method for gastric cancer with more ideal efficacy. The indications of this method are mainly suitable for patients with severe local metastases that are difficult to be removed surgically.
