What’s wrong with a slight, uncontrollable shaking of the head?

Slight involuntary head shaking can be caused by Parkinson’s disease, essential tremor and other diseases.
1. Parkinson’s disease: The main symptoms of Parkinson’s disease are resting tremor, bradykinesia and myotonia, which are often seen in the elderly. At present, the diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease is mainly through magnetic resonance and clinical manifestations. Parkinson’s disease cannot be cured, and symptoms can be relieved through treatment.
2. Primary tremor: The main clinical manifestation of primary tremor is involuntary tremor of upper and lower limbs or head and face, which tends to be inherited from family, and can occur at all ages, with postural tremor as the only manifestation. The main diagnosis of primary tremor is based on clinical manifestations, and beta-blockers such as propranolol are preferred for treatment.
When patients experience discomfort, they should go to the hospital immediately. All of the above medications should be used under the supervision of a physician.
