Concussions should be seen in neurosurgery. A concussion causes a transient functional injury to the brain due to head trauma. Patients may have short bursts of impaired consciousness, memory impairment, headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, slow heart rate, decreased blood pressure, and cold and clammy extremities. Although the patient’s symptoms are obvious, there are no obvious positive signs on neurological examination and no obvious positive results on auxiliary examination. Treatment was generally symptomatic and restful. The diagnosis and treatment of the condition need to be done in the neurosurgery department, so the neurosurgery department needs to be consulted. Since concussion has similar symptoms to other traumatic brain diseases such as cerebral hemorrhage and extracerebral hematoma, patients who suspect concussion still need to go to the hospital for consultation and examination.
