The tg (thyroglobulin) should preferably be less than 2ng/ml after nail cancer surgery. After surgery, patients with thyroid cancer should have regular follow-up to observe the change of thyroglobulin in serum, which is an important indicator to judge whether there is residual tumor or recurrence. If the value of thyroglobulin is higher than 2ng/ml, it should be alerted to the recurrence or residual tumor. If the patient’s thyroid is completely removed, it is recommended that the patient’s thyroglobulin level should be less than 1ng/ml and usually not more than 2ng/ml. It is worth noting that, after thyroid cancer surgery to remove the thyroid gland, there will be a trough of thyroglobulin value in 5~10 days after the surgery, but after that, it will gradually return to normal, so it is enough to check regularly and no need to worry too much.
