How to treat Helicobacter pylori positivity

H. pylori positivity may lead to gastritis, gastric ulcer, gastric cancer and other diseases, which can be regulated with quadruple therapy, i.e. 2 antibiotics such as amoxicillin and clarithromycin + bismuth + proton pump inhibitor such as omeprazole in combination, or surgical treatment. 1. Gastritis: H. pylori positivity may lead to gastritis with symptoms such as acid reflux, heartburn and vomiting, which can be treated with quadruple therapy. Including one of omeprazole and rabeprazole; two of antibiotics such as amoxicillin, clarithromycin and metronidazole and one of bismuth such as bismuth potassium citrate. 2. Gastric ulcer: most of the gastric ulcers caused by positive Helicobacter pylori can be treated with oral quadruple drugs; for refractory, compound and huge ulcers, most of the stomach can be resected. 3. Gastric cancer: There is no effective oral drug for H. pylori positive gastric cancer, and generally it requires surgery such as major gastrectomy or total gastrectomy. If Helicobacter pylori is positive, further examination of gastroscopy, pathology biopsy and other items are needed to be treated under the guidance of doctors, and self-medication is not recommended.
