On the question of whether early Parkinson’s patients should take medication, in early guidelines and expert consensus, it was believed that if the patient is generally well you can postpone medication so as to minimize the appearance of drug side effects and delay their appearance. However, new studies have shown that early diagnosis and treatment will provide greater benefit to patients, including delaying the progression of the disease, so it is recommended that early drug therapy is still recommended for early Parkinson’s patients. In terms of early drug selection, different drugs can be used for different patients, taking into account their age of onset, major clinical manifestations, and different treatment needs.
