Is placental implantation grade 2 serious?

Placental implantation grade 2 is a relatively serious condition in which the placental villi penetrate deep into the myometrial wall of the uterus. Placental implantation refers to a group of diseases in which placental tissue invades the myometrium to varying degrees. According to the depth of invasion of placental villi into the myometrium, it is classified as placental adhesion, in which placental villi adhere to the surface of the myometrium, placental implantation, which refers to the deep penetration of placental villi into the intermuscular wall of the uterus, and penetrating placental implantation, which refers to the passage of placental villi through the myometrium to the extent of reaching or exceeding the surface of the uterine plasma membrane. Placental implantation is a relatively serious obstetrical complication of pregnancy, which can result in severe postpartum hemorrhage, shock, hysterectomy, or even death of the patient, and the probability of puerperal infection is correspondingly high. A clear diagnosis of placenta implantation during pregnancy, especially if it reaches the myometrium, should be given high priority, and should be handled by an experienced medical team in a medical institution that is equipped for resuscitation.
