There is no such thing as the best way to regulate menstruation in Chinese medicine, the main purpose is to give medicines to regulate menstruation according to the patient’s symptoms, tongue and pulse, and other evidence. There are many kinds of menstrual diseases in Chinese medicine, so I cannot state them completely here, but I would like to give you some examples, such as early menstruation, late menstruation, irregular menstruation, and so on. 1. The main causes of premenstrual period in TCM are Qi deficiency and Blood-heat syndrome. Patients with qi deficiency are given treatments to tonify spleen qi and kidney qi; patients with blood-heat are given treatments according to their conditions, such as clearing heat and cooling blood (to relieve blood-heat by clearing heat), nourishing yin and clearing heat (to nourish yin and clear heat), and dredging the liver and clearing heat. 2. The causes of late menstruation in TCM include kidney deficiency, blood deficiency, blood sweating, Qi stagnation, phlegm-dampness and so on. Treatment is mainly based on the identification of the causes of late menstruation, such as tonifying the kidneys, nourishing the blood, tonifying the blood, warming the yang and dispelling cold, warming the meridians and dispersing cold (warming the meridians of the body and dispelling the cold in the body), regulating qi and regulating stagnation of the menstruation, and drying up dampness and removing phlegm (dispelling phlegm in the body by drying up dampness) to regulate menstruation. 3. The causes of irregular menstruation are mainly liver depression, kidney deficiency and spleen deficiency. Treatment is based on the identification of the cause of irregular menstruation, such as dredging the liver and regulating qi (regulating the stagnation of liver qi) to regulate menstruation, tonifying the kidney to regulate menstruation, tonifying the spleen and nourishing blood to regulate menstruation (regulating menstruation irregularity caused by blood deficiency). Irregular menstruation should be treated promptly and appropriate treatment should be chosen under the guidance of a doctor to avoid delaying the condition.
