How to determine if you have tetanus

It is difficult to determine if you have tetanus by yourself because tetanus rarely shows symptoms until it develops. If you want to determine whether you have tetanus, you need to know the corresponding clinical manifestations of tetanus. Patients infected with tetanus bacilli are prone to dizziness, weakness, and weakness in chewing, local muscle tightness, and hyperreflexia in the early stage. As the disease progresses, the patient may develop muscle tonicity and paroxysmal intense muscle spasm, which is manifested by the gradual expansion of the biting muscles to the back muscles, abdominal muscles, extremities and finally to the diaphragm, and difficulty in opening the mouth. For those who have a history of trauma, when the above-mentioned early or pre-existing symptoms appear, they must be highly suspicious of the possibility of tetanus and must go to the hospital in time. For tetanus patients, if they have received trauma, it is best to go to a regular hospital within 24 hours for debridement, suturing and, if necessary, intramuscular injection of tetanus vaccine or antitoxin serum, which can effectively avoid tetanus.
