What antibiotics should you not take with Rosuvastatin calcium?

Taking Rosuvastatin Calcium should not be taken with erythromycin, which will affect the efficacy of the drug, and should be used in accordance with medical advice.
The instructions for Rosuvastatin Calcium state that the use of this product with erythromycin will result in a 20% decrease in the bioavailability of Rosuvastatin and a 30% decrease in the maximum blood concentration. This drug interaction may be due to increased gastrointestinal motility caused by erythromycin. Therefore the two should not be taken together.
Rosuvastatin calcium may be used in persons with primary hypercholesterolemia, pure familial hypercholesterolemia, and mixed dyslipidemia.
Adverse effects of this product can cause headache, dizziness, diabetes, myalgia, nausea, constipation, and fatigue. The drug is contraindicated in people who are allergic to Rosuvastatin, pregnant women, and people with active liver disease. A doctor should be consulted when this product is used with other medications.
