Sacubitril valsartan tablets, known generically as sacubitril valsartan sodium tablets, are indicated for adult patients with chronic heart failure and have been shown to reduce cardiovascular mortality and treat essential hypertension. Sacubitril valsartan sodium tablets are indicated for adult patients with chronic heart failure who have a reduced ejection fraction, and are known to reduce the chances of cardiovascular mortality. Sacubitril valsartan sodium tablets may also be used in place of angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors and angiotensin II receptor antagonists in the treatment of essential hypertension. The combination of this product with other heart failure treatment drugs, such as furosemide and metoprolol, may further reduce the incidence of heart failure and hospitalization. Sacubitril valsartan sodium tablets are contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or any excipients of this product, in patients with a past history of angioedema associated with angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor or angiotensin II receptor antagonist therapy, in patients with hereditary or idiopathic angioedema, in patients with severe hepatic impairment, cholestatic cirrhosis and cholestasis, and in patients with intermediate- and late-term pregnancy. Adverse reactions include angioedema, hypotension, renal impairment, and hyperkalemia. Consult your doctor if you experience more serious discomfort during the use of the drug.
