Whether the cervix has localized lesions has nothing to do with whether the cervix is smooth or not. Clinically, if the surface of the cervix is smooth, it can only mean that the surface of the cervix is covered with a complex squamous epithelium, and the cervix is smooth when observed by the naked eye, but this state does not mean that the cervical epithelium does not have lesions. Even if the cervix is smooth, cervical cancer screening is needed, and it should be done once a year. If the cervix has erosion, the majority of clinical cases are due to the female body’s estrogen secretion, which makes the cervix appear columnar epithelial ectopia. The displaced columnar epithelium is clinically characterized by red granular changes. However, this kind of erosion does not necessarily mean that the epithelium has lesions, in the clinical need to do cervical cancer screening to understand the cervical epithelium is good or bad.
