Colposcopy biopsy results are judged mainly by whether the findings are cervical cancer, or cervical squamous intraepithelial lesions, whether they are high grade or low grade cervical squamous intraepithelial lesions. If the result shows only chronic inflammation, it means that the subject does not have intraepithelial lesions and the clinician needs to be consulted for the next step of anti-inflammatory treatment. If there are squamous intraepithelial lesions, especially high grade squamous intraepithelial lesions, which are precancerous, the patient must undergo the next step of treatment, such as conization or hysterectomy. In case of low-grade cervical squamous intraepithelial lesions, clinicians are consulted and conization treatment may be required if there is HPV infection condition. If the biopsy is cervical cancer, the patient must undergo surgery, and inoperable patients will need radiotherapy. Colposcopic biopsy is mainly to determine the nature of the lesion and decide whether the patient needs to undergo the next step of treatment.
