How long does it take for an intestinal polyp to grow to 1cm

There is no definite time for intestinal polyps to grow to 1cm, it can be anywhere from 1 to 10 years.
When intestinal polyps are tiny, treatment is usually not necessary because these polyps are usually asymptomatic and are discovered by chance during a gastroenteroscopy. For smaller polyps, such as those under 1cm, observation is usually sufficient.
Bowel polyps usually have a higher probability of being benign lesions. If such polyps can grow rapidly within a year, above 1 cm consider them more malignant and require endoscopic resection followed by pathologic examination.
If the patient’s polyps are benign polyps, regular review and observation, usually slower growth rate, it is possible in 1 ~ 10 years polyps are not particularly large changes.
If you have intestinal polyps, it is recommended to go to the gastroenterology department or general surgery department of the local hospital, and listen to the professional doctor’s advice to deal with it.
