Adults let the dog bite without breaking the skin there is no problem

If a domestic dog has been vaccinated against rabies, it may not be infected with the rabies virus, whether or not the skin is broken. However, if the bite is from a rabid dog and rabies virus infection is highly suspected, early rabies vaccination is required within twenty-four hours. If a dog bite does not break the skin, it is recommended that the wound be rinsed with water for half an hour to remove surface contaminants and dog saliva, and then thoroughly disinfect the skin with iodophor, so that the intact, unbroken skin can effectively resist the invasion of viruses and bacteria. No broken skin is less of a problem, and the chances of contracting a virus are very low. If the skin is broken, be sure to go to an immunization station within twenty-four hours for rabies vaccination. In addition to rabies vaccination, anti-rabies immunoglobulin is also required to avoid rabies infection. The rabies virus can infect peripheral nerves through broken skin and eventually infect the central nerves and cause disease. Patients should be aware that after rabies vaccination, redness, swelling and pain at the vaccination site may occur, and some people may even develop hard nodes and peripheral edema of the injected limb, which can usually resolve on their own and do not require treatment. Try not to take a shower on the day of vaccination to avoid infection at the vaccination site.
