What to do at home for kids with cavities

Clinically, there is no such thing as a home treatment for children’s tooth decay, which can be treated by paying attention to oral hygiene, fluoride coating, filling or root canal treatment. 1. Pay attention to oral hygiene: children with tooth decay should eat less sweets in their normal life, and develop the habit of brushing their teeth in the morning and evening and rinsing their mouths after meals every day, which can prevent the aggravation of tooth decay. 2. Fluoride coating: When children have shallow cavities, they can have fluoride coating in regular hospital stomatology department, which can protect the dentin. 3. Filling or root canal treatment: If the tooth has lost a lot of tissue due to tooth decay, but has not reached the pulp, a filling can be done; if the tooth has been damaged to the pulp, root canal treatment is needed. When children have tooth decay, parents are advised to bring their children to regular hospital stomatology department for examination and standardized treatment as prescribed by the doctor.
