When hair gets into the eye and can’t be gotten out, the patient should first observe whether the end of the hair can be exposed outside the eyelid fissure, if so, the broken end can be pinched and removed, if not the hair can be rinsed out by flushing the eye with water.
After the hair gets into the eye, it will cause the patient to experience discomfort such as foreign body sensation and abrasive sensation in the eye. Patients should not rub their eyes. Rubbing the eyes will not only fail to get the hair out, but also tend to aggravate the damage to the eyes.
Calm down, look in the mirror to see if the hair has a broken end exposed outside the lid, if so, pinch the broken end to remove it, be sure to wash your hands before pinching the broken end to avoid contamination of the eyes.
If there is no broken end exposed outside the lid, you can rinse your eyes with water, and the hair can usually be rinsed out with the force of the water flow. If the rinsing fails to alleviate the symptoms, you need to go to the ophthalmology department of the hospital for a doctor’s examination to clarify the location of the hair, and then assist in removing it.
