Side effects of Shuanghuanglian Oral Liquid

  The main ingredients of Shuanghuanglian Oral Liquid are honeysuckle, scutellaria and forsythia. The adverse reactions item of the drug instruction is not yet clear. Although adverse reactions of Shuanghuanglian Oral Liquid are rare, there are clinical reports. One patient showed erythema all over the body, dizziness, nausea and vomiting four hours after the first dose; another patient showed skin flushing, itching, eyelid swelling, precordial discomfort, chest tightness and mild ST segment changes on ECG two hours after the first dose.  Shuanghuanglian Oral Liquid can cause allergic rash, anaphylaxis, gastrointestinal reactions and other adverse reactions, and it should be noted that Shuanghuanglian Injection (powder) should not be used in combination with other traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine injections. The following should be noted in the clinical application of Shuanghuanglian Oral Liquid: 1. Since Shuanghuanglian Oral Liquid is a sugary Chinese medicine, it should be used with caution if the patient is diabetic because the occurrence of adverse reactions, although related to drug allergy, is also associated with skin stress and hyperglycemia, etc. 2.
