In the CT horizontal cross-section layer by layer, the first thing we can see is that the upper pole and the middle pole of the two kidneys are on the two sides of the abdomen, and the middle part of the two kidneys are merged together in the lower pole. If you suspect horseshoe kidney, it is better to do CT 3D reconstruction, which can be cut along any section, along the CT coronal plane, the coronal plane can see whether the two kidneys and the lower pole are united together at the same time, and if they are connected together, it is a horseshoe kidney.
