Is photorejuvenation suitable for everyone?

When it comes to photorejuvenation, people often have two opposing attitudes. The first one is the pro-photorejuvenation faction, which believes that photorejuvenation, as the name implies, is a way to improve the texture and luster of the skin and make the skin delicate and soft, and regards photorejuvenation as a panacea for skin beauty. The other is the opposition, they think that photorejuvenation is just a nice name with no real value, or worse, they think that photorejuvenation is not only ineffective, but will cause damage to the skin, make the skin thinner and accelerate the aging of the skin. In fact, both attitudes are somewhat one-sided. First of all, not everyone is suitable for photorejuvenation. For patients with photosensitive skin, scarring, pregnant women, diabetes, etc., photorejuvenation will not only be ineffective, but will also cause harm to the skin and create a counter effect. Secondly, photorejuvenation is not an immortal art of “rejuvenation”, it is not possible to restore defective skin to a “white and tender” state in an instant, but to improve the skin step by step in a gradual process, targeting vascular, pigmented and aging skin. It is a step-by-step process to improve the skin, targeting vascular, pigmented lesions and skin aging, gradually working to achieve satisfactory results. Our facial skin is exposed to ultraviolet radiation, hot and cold stimulation of the external environment for a long time, coupled with the age factor, the skin in the age of about 30 years old will appear defects and different degrees of aging, the original clean skin began to emerge spots, the red blood is gradually obvious, forehead, eye corners appear small wrinkles, pores become large, the skin appears dull and sagging. This is where photorejuvenation can help. So, what exactly is photorejuvenation? It is a non-exfoliating skin rejuvenation treatment with low energy density using a high-intensity, multi-spectrum, non-coherent intense pulsed light photon technology. The skin will be absorbed or shed to the outside of the body. At the same time, the biological stimulation and heating effect of longer wavelength intense pulsed light on the dermal tissue causes the deep collagen fibers and elastic fibers to proliferate and rearrange and restore elasticity, and the function of vascular tissue is enhanced and circulation is improved. These effects promote the improvement or elimination of vascular and pigmented lesions of the facial skin, the reduction of wrinkles, the reduction of pores, and the effective improvement of the skin to become smooth and elastic. Photorejuvenation is mainly suitable for the following three conditions: 1) vascular changes of the skin, including capillary dilation and erythema; 2) pigmentary changes of the skin, including freckles, freckle-like nevi, skin pigment abnormalities, secondary pigmentation, etc.; 3) normal skin aging, which can improve the color and smoothness of the skin and remove fine wrinkles to restore youth. At present, photorejuvenation, as a high-efficiency and low-risk technology, is gaining more and more attention and praise. It can not only effectively improve the facial skin condition as a whole, but also resume normal life and work immediately after the treatment is completed, without the need to take leave and rest.
