Symptoms of Qi Stagnation and Blood Stasis

Qi stagnation and blood stasis (stagnation of blood due to unobstructed flow of Qi) syndrome should be called Qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome, with symptoms such as dull pain, distension, stabbing pain or colic pain in the heart, chest, coarseness of the ribcage, and epigastric (abdominal) region. Qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome refers to the symptoms of stagnation of qi which leads to stagnation of blood flow. Symptoms of Qi Stagnation and Blood Stasis include dull pain, distending pain, stabbing pain or colic pain in the heart, chest, ribs and abdomen, etc.; pain that runs erratically or is fixed and persistent; abdominal fullness, with lumps under the ribs and in the abdomen, but the quality is still soft and not firm; frequent emotional depression or irritability; dark complexion; dysmenorrhea, amenorrhea, or purplish menstruation with clots, etc. in women. If any of the above symptoms occur, timely medical treatment is needed.
