The nystagmography examination requires cooperation, such as dizziness is not particularly severe, not vomiting when moving, if the dizziness is more severe, medication control, and examination when you can cooperate. During the examination, you need to put on an eye patch and stare at the red dot on the screen for tracking. Also a blindfold is put on and head movements are made on the examination bed, such as dropping and rolling. Through these movements, it is checked if any nystagmus occurs and to determine if it is an otolith or not and where this stone is located. The above mentioned examinations help to determine the diagnosis, judge the location, and also help to judge the effectiveness of the treatment. Some patients still have dizziness after doing the reset, and to check whether there are residual stones, which are not easy to detect by naked eye examination alone, require a more sophisticated examination with nystagmography to capture the more subtle nystagmus and to detect the residual smaller stones.
