A CT film can screen for tuberculosis, but cannot confirm the diagnosis. CT examination can be used as one of the auxiliary examination means of tuberculosis, if there is a suspicious imaging manifestation, it can be suspected that the lesion is tuberculosis, but it can not be diagnosed conclusively, and it needs to be combined with other auxiliary examinations to make a comprehensive judgment. CT examination is a kind of imaging examination, which can only show the morphology of the lung lesion, such as presenting ground glass-like, unclear edges and other imaging features, and does not have specificity. In addition to tuberculosis, other types of lesions may also have similar manifestations. Therefore, CT alone cannot provide a diagnosis of TB. The gold standard for the diagnosis of tuberculosis is the detection of Mycobacterium tuberculosis on pathogenetic examination. Therefore, when tuberculosis is suspected on CT, pathologic tests should be performed to support the diagnosis. Commonly used pathogenetic tests are sputum smear for positive antacid bacilli and sputum culture for the presence of Mycobacterium tuberculosis. When tuberculosis is suspected, it is necessary to actively consult the doctor and follow the doctor’s instructions for rational treatment.
