Fishweed carcinogenic is not true, there is no evidence-based proof that fishweed will have this toxicity. Fish Maw has the effect of eliminating carbuncle and pus (eliminating carbuncle and pus), clearing heat and removing toxins (removing heat and toxins in the body), diuretic and diaphoretic (improving the problem of incomplete urination and small amount of urination), and so on. It can be used for damp-heat gonorrhea (increased frequency of urination, dribbling and astringent pain), heat-poison sores and carbuncles (sores and carbuncles appearing on the surface of the skin due to excessive heat and toxicity in the body), coughing due to heat in the lungs, vomiting of pus from carbuncles in the lungs, and damp-heat diarrhea (diarrhea caused by feeling damp-heat evils), and so on. The adverse reactions and contraindications of Fishweed are not yet clear. Anyone who is suffering from deficiency cold should not take. Fishweed is harvested in the summer of each year and can be used fresh or dried and prepared for use. It is often used together with other Chinese medicines, such as with Radix et Rhizoma Cyperus and Plantago Ovata for the treatment of dribbling of urine (the feeling of not being able to urinate) and astringent pain, and needs to be used under the guidance of a physician. Patients are advised to consult a doctor if they feel unwell, and should not take it on their own to avoid adverse consequences.
