Esophageal cancer is a common cancer of upper gastrointestinal tract, which is prone to belching and hiccups when it develops to the advanced stage, and its characteristics are mainly manifested by the presence of rotten smell of hiccup gas and more gas ejection. Generally speaking, esophageal cancer is easy to cause difficulty in swallowing, and there may be accumulation of food when eating rough, dry and hard food, and once the food is fermented, it is easy to produce putrefactive gases, which makes putrefactive odor appear in hiccups. And along with burping symptoms, it is often accompanied by acid reflux and heartburn. According to the distance between the tumor and incisors, esophageal cancer can be classified into four categories, i.e. cervical esophageal cancer, upper thoracic esophageal cancer, mid-thoracic esophageal cancer, and lower thoracic esophageal cancer. Among them, esophageal cancers located in the mid-thoracic and lower thoracic segments are prone to hiccups. The appearance of hiccups may also aggravate the difficulty in swallowing of esophageal cancer patients. If esophageal cancer patients have hiccups symptoms, they should go to hospital for examination in time to get a clear diagnosis and carry out specific treatment as early as possible.
