Kegel exercise (Kegel exercise) is a way to practice the contraction ability of the puborectal muscle. This is because these two muscles are mainly relied on during defecation, urination and sexual intercourse. So the puborectalis muscle is also called “urogenital muscle”, which is directly related to urine, stool and sex, so Kegel exercise is suitable for various reasons of urinary incontinence, fecal incontinence and pelvic floor relaxation, uterine vaginal relaxation or prolapse, reduced sexual pleasure, etc.; women who easily reach orgasm or have strong orgasmic response, these two muscles In women who are prone to orgasm or have a strong orgasmic response, these two muscles are also more contracted, and vice versa. For men, the vaginal grip on the penis is enhanced, and the sensation during intercourse is more pronounced, contributing to better sexual relations. The puborectalis muscle is located in the pelvic floor and surrounds the urethra, rectum and vaginal junction of the uterus, and its presence can be felt when contracting the rectum and vagina. The training can improve the contraction ability of the muscles, which can enhance the ability to control bowel movements, control urination and improve sexual pleasure; the method of pelvic floor muscle exercise is simply to train the contraction of the piriformis muscle, as if people are trying to hold urine or inhibit the movement of bowel movements, which can be accompanied by a slight contraction of the abdominal, gluteal and inner thigh muscles, but must be the main contraction of the piriformis muscle group in the pelvic floor. The method is as follows: continue to contract the pelvic floor muscles with moderate force for as long as possible until you feel tired, then relax and rest for 2 to 6 minutes, then continue to lift the anus, and so on for 30 times. Be sure to keep it up every day for 8 weeks or more. Exercise can be performed in any state under non-strenuous exercise, if practice to back pain, it means that the exercise muscle is not correct. When you first start to exercise, you can imitate the following movements: 1. similar to the process of interrupting urination; 2. similar to the process of inhibiting anal discharge; 3. if you still can’t master it, you can put your finger through the anus into the rectum (vagina for women) and perform anal contraction, if your finger feels the contraction of the anus, it means that you are exercising the correct muscles. For patients who still can’t exercise to pelvic floor muscles correctly or Kegel exercise is ineffective, you can apply pelvic floor muscle biofeedback to exercise. Pelvic floor muscle biofeedback therapy provides signals that reflect the activity of perineal muscles in visual or auditory form to guide you to contract and relax pelvic floor muscles well and selectively, and keep other muscles relaxed.
