Prevention and treatment of stomach cancer should be called early

Stomach cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors that threaten human life, and its incidence rises gradually with age, and it is one times higher in middle-aged and elderly people than in young people. The incidence of gastric cancer can be significantly reduced and the cure rate can be increased if we focus on “four early stages” for gastric cancer prevention and treatment. Early prevention Stomach cancer is closely related to people’s bad life behaviors and habits. As long as people maintain good health mentality, pay attention to dietary hygiene, reasonable diet, strictly prohibit smoking, do not drink alcohol, exercise properly and arrange their life and living scientifically, stomach cancer can be effectively prevented. Especially, we should build a fence against stomach cancer in three meals a day, because unhygienic diet plays a key role in the occurrence of stomach cancer. For example, salted, smoked, fried and baked foods contain strong carcinogenic substances such as 3,4-benzopyrene; deteriorated and moldy foods can produce aflatoxin, which has a strong carcinogenic effect. Vegetables left too long will produce nitrite under the action of bacteria, which can be transformed into nitrosamines, a strong carcinogenic substance, and is the culprit of stomach cancer. Other dietary behaviors, such as excessive alcohol consumption, salty and hot food, fast eating, irregular meals and hunger and satiety, can damage the gastric mucosa and increase the risk of gastric cancer. Therefore, from the perspective of prevention, we should change these bad eating habits, pay attention to a balanced and reasonable diet, eat more foods rich in vitamins, trace elements, proteins and fibers, and eat less greasy, animal fat and sweet foods. Early detection To achieve early detection of gastric cancer, one is the census of healthy people; the other is to rely on people’s vigilance to gastric cancer and their awareness of early symptoms. There is no specific symptom or obvious physical sign in early stage of stomach cancer. However, if there is distension and hidden pain in upper abdomen, loss of appetite, lethargy and weakness, etc., it should not be taken lightly. If the symptoms do not disappear after two weeks of conventional drug treatment, fiberoptic gastroscopy should be done in hospital in time. Some people who usually have no discomfort but suddenly have black tarry stools should consult a doctor for examination as early as possible without delay. For high-risk groups of gastric cancer, such as chronic atrophic gastritis, gastric ulcer, gastric polyp and pernicious anemia, after most of gastric resection; family history of gastric cancer and other high-risk groups, regular examination should be done for early detection. Early diagnosis Fibrogastroscopy is the most important method for early diagnosis of gastric cancer. At present, fiberoptic gastroscopy equipment is advanced, and under the operation of experienced and skilled endoscopists, lesions as small as a grain of rice can be detected, and a small amount of tissue can be taken for pathological examination, and most of them can be correctly diagnosed. Early treatment Once the diagnosis of gastric cancer is confirmed, early treatment should be provided. Comprehensive treatment measures can be taken, such as radical gastric cancer surgery with preoperative and postoperative chemotherapy, immunotherapy, traditional Chinese medicine and psychotherapy, etc. As long as early gastric cancer is treated timely, the 5-year survival rate can reach 80%-90%.
