1. Distal radius fracture, after regular examination and treatment, can make a fist in three months. Minor distal radius fracture can be treated conservatively, the main way of conservative treatment is manipulation of the external fixation of plaster. Gypsum fixation mainly fixes the wrist joint and prevents re-displacement. You can make a fist in the early stage after gypsum fixation, such as within 1~2 days.
2. Surgery is needed if there is important neurovascular damage, damage to the joint surface, or if it is difficult to reset the joint by manipulation or to maintain the joint after resetting. The main method of surgical treatment is internal fixation with a steel plate, after which you can make a fist.
