High uric acid in TB patients is usually caused by eating foods high in purines and using anti-tuberculosis drugs, such as pyrazinamide. During anti-tuberculosis treatment, patients with tuberculosis must strictly control their diet and prevent eating high-purine foods, such as animal offal and seafood. If the uric acid value is very high, pyrazinamide can be temporarily discontinued. Pyrazinamide has a relatively unique bactericidal effect on tuberculosis bacteria, and the main adverse reactions include gastrointestinal discomfort, liver function impairment, hyperuricemia, and joint pain and other adverse reactions. Therefore, during the period of anti-tuberculosis treatment, patients must be observed for any adverse reactions, and blood routine, liver function, renal function, lung imaging and other related auxiliary examinations should also be monitored regularly.
