Allergic rhinitis desensitization requires first identifying the allergens (currently used mainly for house dust mite and dust mite) and developing a desensitization program based on the specific allergens. Subcutaneous immunotherapy and sublingual immunotherapy are commonly used, and WHO recommends sublingual immunotherapy for the treatment of allergic rhinitis.
House dust mite and dust mite are the most important inhalant allergens causing allergic rhinitis in China, and are the only internationally standardized allergen preparations that have completed clinical registration in China.
Sublingual immunotherapy: Patients can also take allergen medications under the guidance of a physician. The dose of the medication needs to be gradually increased from less to more, which can stimulate the body to produce immune tolerance to allergens and can have the effect of desensitization.
Subcutaneous immunotherapy: You can also inject different concentrations of allergen-containing injections under the guidance of a doctor. You need to start with a small concentration of allergen-containing injections, then gradually increase the dose and concentration of the injections, and keep increasing to the maximum concentration and dose that the patient can tolerate, which can have the effect of desensitization.
It is recommended that patients with allergic rhinitis need to consult a doctor in a timely manner, and the doctor will choose the appropriate desensitization treatment according to the patient’s condition.
