Why do your muscles hurt when you get cold?

The reason why some patients experience muscle pain after a cold is due to the following pathological mechanisms: First, the cold may cause muscle spasm, which in turn causes pain, such as when the patient sleeps with the calf exposed and exposed to cold wind, which can easily lead to muscle spasm in the calf, which in turn causes pain. Secondly, cold may cause aseptic inflammation of the muscle itself, as well as the structures around the muscle, such as the fascia, after which the patient will have constant pain around the muscle. Third, cold may also lead to old muscle injuries, such as strains, and a recurrence of inflammation, which then leads to significant muscle pain.
