The color of Gua Sha from fire cupping is reddish, no ecchymosis, and a small number of Gua Sha points are normal.
After fire cupping, the skin will appear color, shape changes, called “gua sha”, different forms of gua sha indicates different clinical significance. Color flushed or dark red, no ecchymosis, a small number of gua sha points, no blisters for normal, generally 3 ~ 5 days to subside.
If the gua sha deep red, purple and black, touch the pain, the body has fever performance, for the body has heat toxicity; no fever performance, there are petechiae, for the body has blood stasis; if the color of gua sha is not obvious, touch the cool feeling, for the cold body.
Fire cupping needs to be operated by a professional physician, and individuals should not carry out cupping treatment in informal medical institutions to avoid adverse consequences. People with bleeding disorders or skin diseases are prohibited from using cupping therapy to avoid aggravating the condition.
